Lucille (Kuklenski) Owens passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2020 after an extended illness.
She was born and raised, spending all but the last six years of her life in Anderson. She moved to Carmel in 2014. She was employed with Delco Remy Division, General Motors Corporation for 39.6 years retiring in 1985.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Heider (partner, Stephen Priddy); three grandsons, Todd Richard (Amanda) Heider with great-granddaughter, Aurora Noelle "Rorie" Heider; Derick Thomas Heider and Michael Andrew (Shanen) Heider with great-grandchildren, Vivien Lyn "Viv" and Chase Michael Heider; and many nieces and nephews.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. "Gene" Owens in 1989; parents, Anthony Matthew and Kamelia Mary (Sokolowski) Kuklenski; brothers, Charles (Lorraine), Raymond (Ruby); Stanley; Walter (Stella) and William (Mary Ann) Kuklenski; sisters, Frances (Robert) Frazier, Genevieve (Kenneth) Stanley, Henrietta (Everett) Chadd; Jennie Kuklenski and Rita Kuklenski.
The family would like to express a special thank you to In-House Primary Care and Heartland Hospice, for the kindness and care of mother.
Viewing for family and friends will be Friday, November 20, 2020 from noon until 1 p.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. with Rev. Martin Sandhage officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery. A mask must be worn upon arrival.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
