Loving mother of Linda Black-Jones and her husband Norman Jones of Methuen and Pocasset, Robert L. Black Jr, and his wife Linda of West Roxbury, and Maureen P. McMurtry and her late husband Robert of Pocasset and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Nana to Richard, Ryan, Caitlyn, Erin, and Lisa. Great-Nana to Jack, Liam, Aidan, Kayleigh, Mason, Shannon, Ben, John Paul Jr., and Caleb. Sister of the late Edward S. Ryan and Maureen Fernandes. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Peggy was a former member of St. Mary’s Church Sodality, an associate member of the Great Blue Hill Power Squadron, and a proud Army wife.
The family would like to thank the Bourne and Dedham EMTs, the VNA of Cape Cod, Dr. Midah and the second floor staff of BIDMC Needham, and the amazing staff at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale for their kindness, professionalism, and care of “Peg of our hearts”.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Monday, Nov. 16 from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Please follow all COVID-19 guidelines. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
