Grace Marangi, a long-time Medford resident, died Tuesday at Holy Cross Hospital, Ft. Lauderdale. She was 86.
Grace was born in Naples Italy, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and the late Antoinetta Carlucci. Grace came to the United States at the age of 19 and settled in Medford. A dedicated wife and mother Mrs. Marangi, worked many years in Filenes Basement. Known as the “Candy Girl”, Grace was recognized as an outstanding sales person. In her retirement she lived with her late husband in Hawaii for several years. Upon his death she came back to Medford and wintered in Florida.
She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Marangi. She was a devoted mother to Antoinette “Ann” Bacci and her husband Gil of Medford. She was a loving grandmother of Joseph Bacci, Diana Walsh her husband Brian and great grandmother of Joey and Nikko.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery
