Douglas J. McArthur, 57, a lifelong resident of Worcester died Tuesday, November 10th at home. He leaves his wife of 25 years, Donna (Donahue) McArthur; two daughters, Sara M. McArthur and Megan E. McArthur both of Worcester; a brother, Ken C. McArthur and his wife, Donna of Rochdale; three sisters; Robin M. Gordon and her husband, Robert of Worcester, Jody A. McArthur of Webster and Stacy L. Coonan and her husband, Dan of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Donna Lambert.
He was the son of James D. and Joanne (Lamonda) McArthur and graduated from South High School. Douglas volunteered at Maranville Baseball League and enjoyed sports specifically the Red Sox and Celtics. He was an avid fisherman and his favorite pastime was working on cars. Douglas was a family man who was outgoing, kind and caring man. He known for his quick witt and ability to always put a smile on everyone face.
Funeral services and burial will be private. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
