Estelle Hart Martin, 90, of Irwinville, Georgia, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 10, 2006, at the Irwinville Baptist Church, with Rev. Raymond Mixon, Rev. Jerry Wilson, and Rev. Stan Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in Irwinville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7-9 at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Martin was born September 20, 1915, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Lewis H. and Sarah Farmer Hart. She had lived in the community all of her life. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Irwinville Baptist Church for nearly 60 years.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law: Frances M. and Ray Abbott of Albany and Betty M. and W.T. Sutton of Irwinville; a daughter-in-law: Vivian Hancock of Lands Crossing; seven grandchildren: Ray Abbott, Jr., Philip Abbott, Mark Sutton, Debra S. Martin, Ginger M. Wynn, Teresa S. Elrod and Dena M. Hobby; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Randolph Martin; a son: Jimmy Martin; three brothers: Robert, Pete, and Clarence Hart; and two sisters: Margaret Selph and Sarah Briley.
