Barbara Ann Cammarata was born and raised in Dorchester, MA to
Barbara and Mansfield Clement on August 10, 1963. She was educated in
the Boston Public School system and went on to graduate from Boston
High School in 1981. After graduation she went on to cosmetology school
and eventually got her degree then opened her own hair salon. After more
than 20 years creating beautiful hair styles, Barbie decided it was time for a
change and moved to Hawaii. Upon returning to the main land, Barbie
followed her dreams doing what made her happiest, and while doing that
she found the complete love of her life and on June 7, 2010 married her
(BooBoo Babe) Dave and lived in complete joy until her death.
Barbie was preceded in death by her mother Barbara A Clement, siblings
Patricia A Thompson, Denise Thompson and Edward Thompson. Barbie
leaves to mourn her beloved husband Dave Cammarata, sons Richard
(Tara) Gaskins of New Bedford MA, Chris DiMarco of Denver CO, siblings
Sharon McClure of Braintree MA, Donald (Sheila) Thompson of Waltham
MA, Marshall Thompson of Randolph Ma, Cathy (Jeff) Anderson of Canton
MA, Wanda Joseph of Easton MA, Lisa (James) Lisenby of Randolph MA,
and Marlene Clement of Alexandria VA, as well as a host of nieces,
nephews, in-laws and friends.
Barbie lived a joyous life and always had a smile and kind words for
everyone she met. Barbie, the goodness in you brought out the goodness
in everyone around you; that’s how bright your light shinned. You will be truly missed.
We, the family of Barbara Ann Cammarata would like to express our
sincere appreciation for your prayers, cards, flowers, phone calls, and all
the acts of kindness during our time of sorrow.
Visitation will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Friday, November 13, 2020, from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Interment will be private.
