Charles I. Williams, age 83, of Brockton, died November 7, 2020 at West Acres Nursing Home. He was the loving husband for 45 years of the late Mary L. (Belmosto) Williams. Charlie was born, raised and educated in Randolph, son of the late Aubrey and Laura (Ross) Williams. Charlie served in the Army National Guard. He retired from Brotherhood Oil in 2001 after 15 years, and formerly worked for Archie’s and Gregory’s as an Oil Burner Technician.
Charlie was devoted to his family, faith and church. He was a longtime communicant of St. Colman Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister for ten years. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed fishing, camping and weight lifting.
Charlie was the loving father of Debra Donahue and her partner Steve Gilcreast of Bedford, NH, Brenda Deane and her husband William of Brockton, Donna Williams and her partner Lisa Fruzzetti of Brockton and Jimmy Williams and his wife Sue of Dighton. He was the grandfather of Jason, Scott, Jr. and Charles Mattson, Kristal Deane, Maria and Grace Williams and the late William Hovestadt, Shannon Figueroa and Kevin Deane. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren. Charlie was the brother of Aubrey Williams of Brockton, Florence Cunningham of Brockton, Ronald Williams of New Hampshire, JoAnn Williams of Brockton, Ralph Williams of Brockton and the late Louis Crowell, Shirley Williams, Robert Williams and Roy Williams. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday, November 11, 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Thursday at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
