Parsonsfield - Naomi M. Stitson, 99 years old, passed away on November 7, 2020 at the Pinnacle Nursing Home in Sanford.
Our mother, Naomi (Thompson) Stitson was born March 6, 1921 in Sanford the daughter of William and Mildred (Holt) Thompson. She grew up in Buxton and graduated from Limerick High School in 1938. She married our dad, Francis Stitson, and raised their five children in East Parsonsfield.
Mom enjoyed being outdoors, walking, doing crossword puzzles, music, writing and receiving mail. She loved traveling with her family to Alaska, Scotland, California, Florida and Virginia. She was a member of The Ancient Landmarks Society of Parsonsfield, the Friends Church and Union Church. Most of all she enjoyed being a mother and a grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband Francis, grandson Francis Short and brother Vernon Thompson.
Mom is survived by her five children: Mary and Robert Tirrell, Carl and Carolyn Stitson, Linda McKenna, Bonnie Deutch and Nancy Stitson. Also ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
We thank the staff at the Pinnacle Home in Sanford for the wonderful care and friendship she received, and many thanks to family and friends who faithfully sent her cards.
