TIFTON – Donald Jimmy “Donnie” Cooper, 67, of Tifton passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Donnie at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Randall Gay and the Rev. Craig Nalls will officiate.
Born August 26, 1953 in Lyons, Donnie was the son of the late Selmer Lee Cooper, Sr. and Monteen Evans Cooper. He was also preceded in death by three brother, Robbie Cooper, Leon Cooper and S. L. Cooper, Jr. He served with the City of Tifton as a police officer for over 40 years and he was a member of the Peace Officer’s Association. He attended Salem Baptist Church in Tifton.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Charlotte Martin Cooper of Tifton; one son, Tim Cooper of Tifton; and one brother, Johnny Cooper of Moultrie.
