Ruth B. Veighey, age 94, passed away on Nov 4, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Greenfield on Sept 10, 1926 to the late Leon and Risuelo (Fish) Haley. Ruth was a communicant of the former Grace Episcopal Church in Chicopee. She worked for 14 years before retiring from Spaulding in 1989. Ruth enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and making puzzles. She leaves one son, Kent R. Veighey of Chicopee; one daughter, Beth Veighey of Chicopee; two grandchildren, Jill Desrochers and Joel Veighey and one great grandchild Miles Desrochers. Ruth is predeceased by her husband William Veighey Jr., her son William Veighey III and three sisters, Jeanne Gurley, Elizabeth Burnes and Florence McCann. A Graveside Service will be held on Thurs, Nov 12, 2020 at 10 am at Fairview Cemetery in Chicopee. The Grise` Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
