Luiza (DaLomba) Barbosa, 88, of New Bedford passed away at home on Sunday November 1, 2020 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Eugenio Barbosa.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joao and Emilia (Moniz) DaLomba, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Barbosa was formerly employed as a stitcher for various textile mills until her retirement.
She was an active member of Jehovah's Witnesses, having been baptized on February 5, 1994. She enjoyed her public ministry of preaching and talking to people about the Bible. She also enjoyed assisting her family and friends when they needed childcare.
She is survived by three sisters, Maria Lomba of Pawtucket, RI; Elizabeth Lomba of Lincoln, RI; and Filizbala Barbosa of France; and nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Jose DaLomba and Oceano DaLomba.
