Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 pm. Randolph L. “Randy” Magras, Sr. 65 years of Brockton died Sunday at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a lengthy battle with lymphoma. He was the husband for 43 years of Kathleen A. (Clifford) Magras.
Mr. Magras was born and raised in St. Thomas, US Virgin Island a son of the late Louis H. and Anne Marie (Danet) Magras. He had been a resident of Brockton for the past 44 years. At the time of his illness he was the proprietor of Quality Deburring in Brockton. Previously he had been a machinist for 30 years.
Mr. Magras was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Rockland and the Hanson Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who enjoyed time at his camp in Maine.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his 6 children Paula Treggiari of Pocasset; Randolph L. Jr. of Pawtucket, RI; Sheila Sargent of St. Petersburg, FL; Michael Magras of Easton; Marijo Rich of Brockton and Patrice Lavallee of Wareham
He was the brother of Fernando Magras of Lindenwold, NJ; Elsie Castellanos of St. Thomas; Joyce Magras of Dumont, NJ and Annette Magras of St. Thomas.
He also leaves 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
He was the brother of the late Rudolph Magras
