Dora Mae Carter-Hampton (65) of Brockton died November 1st at home under hospice care surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the wife of the late Roy Hampton.
She was born in Aberdeen, Mississippi, daughter of the late Buddy Austine and Mary (Blevins) Carter. Dora worked as a laundry attendant for the VA Hospital in Brockton. She enjoyed listening to old school music, dancing, fishing and crossword puzzles.
Dora is survived by 2 sons, Darell Hampton and Maurice Carter both of Brockton, 2 daughters, Shanetta and Lawanda Carter both of Brockton, 9 brothers, Willie, Charles, Henry, Jimmy and Eddie Carter all of Brockton and Elton Carter of Mississippi, William, Hiawtha and Kenny Austin all of Minnesota, 6 sisters, Wilma Lopes, Margie, Juanita and Nicole Carter all of Brockton, Rosie Carter and Eloise Jackson both of Mississippi, 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, also 3 brothers and 2 sisters on her fathers side.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday November 14th at 10 am with Pastor Floyd Patterson officiating. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Visitation from 8:30 am prior to services.
