James 'Jimmy' Goulart, 67 of Tewksbury, passed away of an apparent heart attack on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at his home. He is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Kathleen (Renaud) Goulart with whom he shared the last 47 years.
He was born on April 27, 1953 in Boston and was a son of the late Edgar Goulart and the late Margaret (Barry) Goulart. He was raised in Tewksbury and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School.
James was an independent trucker for many years and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 25. He was a longstanding member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. In recent years, he and his wife had gotten a head start on their retirement dream of travel, taking road trips though the American southwest and visiting several countries in Europe.
In addition to his wife Kathy, James is survived by his two children Paul Goulart and his wife Emma of Oxfordshire, England, and Dawn Hart and her husband Greg of Pepperell, MA; his four grandchildren Clara and Mabel Goulart, and Cam and Allie Hart; and his brother Richard 'Rick' Goulart and his wife Mary of Nashua NH; also several nieces and nephews, and extended family members.
