Mayis Aristakesyan passed peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2020.
Mayis was a loving husband and high-school sweetheart to his surviving wife for 51 years, Osanna Makaryan. Devoted and loving father of Lilit Aristakesyan and her husband Vahe Gyurdzhyan, Syuzanna Ishkhanian and her husband Vartan Ishkhanian.
Cherished grandfather “Papik and Dede" of Arsen Gyurdzhyan, Ishkhan Ishkhanian and Lucy Ishkhanian.
Brother of the late Albert Aristakesyan, Harutyun Aristakesyan, the late Hasmik Aristakesyan, the late Jenya Aristakesyan and the late Aida Aristakesyan.
Mayis loved being in the company of his family and lifelong friends-particularly over good food, drink and conversation. He will be fondly remembered for his kind and compassionate heart and innate sense of humor.
His guiding principle in life was to help others, and if you can’t help, at least don’t get in anyone’s way.
Mayis was loved by all who met him-we will hold him in our hearts forever.
Funeral service at Saint James Armenian Church, 465 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown on Saturday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Saint James Armenian Church, Watertown. Due to the ongoing Covid – 19 pandemic, current public health and safety measures will be followed. Social distancing and facemasks will be required for everyone’s safety.
