Fall River- Edwina (Rego) Souza, age 101, passed away on Friday October 30, 2020 at home. She was the wife of the late Lidgo “Lee” Souza and daughter of the late Antonio M. Rego and Maria R. (Medeiros) Rego Amaral. Edwina enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and mysteries, reading, sewing and making jewelry. Above all else she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Janice Nunes, Joyce Landry (companion Bruce), and Michael Souza (wife Debra), grandchildren: Rebecca Caron, (husband Jeffrey), Thomas Landry (wife Michelle), Lee M. Nunes, and Jaime Prevost (husband Mike), Cheryl Valentine (husband Rick) great grandchildren: Dylan & Jayden Landry, Landry & Charlie Caron, Jason Valentine & Lino Rodrigues and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother in law of the late Manuel Nunes, and Paul Landry, sister of the late Laura, Albertina, Josephine, Mary, Antone, Gelberto and Delores.
The family of Edwina would like to thank Kindred Hospice for the excellent care they gave to our loving mom, especially Aide Suzette and RN Ashley so she could be at home.
Her funeral service which is restricted to family and close friends will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday, Nov. 5th at 12 P.M. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, Nov. 5th morning 10- 12 P.M.
