Mary R. (Barboza) Oliveira, 87, of Fairhaven died July 12, 2002 at Nichols House Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Antone Oliveira and daughter of the late Manuel and Maria C. (Varissma) Barboza.
Mrs. Oliveira was born in New Bedford and lived in New Bedford most of her life before moving to Wareham in 1981.
She enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include a son, Michael S. Oliveira, and his girlfriend Susan Ramos, of New Bedford; a sister, Jeanne Rogers of Westport; 3 grandchildren, Darrell Oliveira, Gary Oliveira and Michael Oliveira; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Joseph and Antone Barboza.
Her private funeral service was held July 16th in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funeral, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial followed in St. John's Cemetery.
