Vivian L. (Cotti) Caron, 87 formerly of Salem and currently of Beverly, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the Brudnick Center for Living. She was the devoted wife of the late J. Roland Caron with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in Peabody and raised in Peabody and Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Felix J. and Laura (Bolla) Cotti. Prior to her marriage she worked at BOMAC in Beverly where she met Roland, the love of her life. The couple married in 1955 and she devoted the following years to the care of her young family. As her children progressed in their schooling, she began working for the former Atwood & Morrill Company of Salem for 16 years and retired after 9 years from Siemens Medical of Danvers.
Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed many crafts including sewing, knitting, cooking and tending her garden. A kind, gracious and social woman she was generous with her time and resources to her parish, and the annual Christmas Fair. She also volunteered at the Salem Hospital and Kaplan Family Hospice House. Vivian was a long-time faithful member of Ste. Anne Parish. She was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
Vivian is survived by her son, Daniel J. Caron of Middleton and his former wife Susan Caron of Framingham, her daughter, Rebecca ‘Becky’ M. Henrick and her husband Daniel A. Henrick of Danvers, her sister Phyllis A. Sullivan Middleton, her brother, Felix J. Cotti, Jr and his wife Christine of Topsfield. She also leaves four grandchildren: Matthew J. & James W. Caron, Kristen R. & Jennifer C. Henrick, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Thomas A. Caron and Roland F. Caron.
Due to the pandemic, private family funeral services are being planned for Monday, November 2, 2020. Invited guests are reminded that protective face coverings are required as well as is social distancing.
