Worcester – Angélica Lorraine Serrano-Ortiz, 34, of Worcester, died on Monday, October 26, 2020 in Saint Vincent Hospital after a battle with cancer.
Angélica was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and is survived by her loving husband, David Romero Sánchez. They were married for 10 years and hopelessly devoted to each other. She is also survived by her parents Antonio Serrano Rivera and Nellie L. Ortiz Román, uncle Ricardo I. Ortiz Román, her brother Irvin A. Serrano Ortiz, grandfather Ramón Ortiz Santiago, nieces, and nephew.
Angélica earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Media Communications and Tourism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and worked as a Teacher Assistant at the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corp in Lancaster. She was a devoted member of the Cathedral of Saint Paul in Worcester where she was active with the Movimiento Juan XXIII through which she met and touched so many lives. Angélica was an avid photographer, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her four nieces and one nephew and taking trips back to Puerto Rico to visit her family. She was loving, friendly, empathic, cheerful, and simply someone everyone who knew her enjoyed having around. We will miss you deeply, Angélica! Thank you for being part of our lives!
We ask her friends and family to continue her legacy by cherishing family, friends, and every living being with the same love and compassion she did.
