FALL RIVER – Mabel M. Julius, age 94, passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Vernon Julius for 36 years. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Georgianna (Oliveira) Rego. As a military spouse she traveled with her husband and daughters for over 20 years. She was dearly loved by all for her generosity and her sense of humor. She cherished her friendships but most of all her family.
Mabel is survived by her daughters Bertha Lyons and her husband William and Joanne Miller and her husband Chris; brother Richard Rego; 8 grandchildren Suzanne and Timothy Wordell, Melanie, Vernon and Savannah Amaral, Arianna, Serenity and Noah Miller; 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Georgina Souza, Elzira Braga, Joseph, Arthur, Manuel and David Rego.
Her family appreciates the loving care given to her by her granddaughter Suzanne Wordell, great-grandchildren Paige DeSousa and Jonathan DeSousa and caregiver Felicia Cioe.
Her funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 7th at 9 A.M. at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Private Burial.
