Bruce Carlton Brown, “Pop” Jamaica Plain, MA Bruce Brown passed peacefully on October 25, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 79. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Helen (Sharkey) Brown, his daughter Linda Rusk and her husband Dean Rusk, as well as, his three grandchildren Kristin, Emma and Tia. He was a beloved husband, devoted father and proud grandfather. Bruce served in the Army from 1961-1964, stationed in Fort Hood, TX and serving overseas in Germany during the Cold War. He returned home and became a successful business owner of a roofing and skylight company. His passion for working outside and taking on projects kept him active over the years. He loved taking trips to Good Harbor Beach and visiting Gloucester, MA where he was born. Bruce lived a full life surrounded by family and friends. He was a lovable and caring gentleman. Bruce never passed up an opportunity to share stories about his family or show off pictures of his grandchildren. His greatest joy came from spending time with his girls. His wife, daughter and grandchildren were his pride and joy. For those of you who knew Bruce and loved him, he will be missed forever. The family has decided to have a private celebration of his life.
