Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Worth (Maloney), a Medford resident of 31 years, died Sunday at home in the company of her loving family. She was 89.

Born and raised in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Alice (Furlotte) Maloney.

Elizabeth worked 25 years as a nurses aid at the Malden Hospital and always worked the 3 to 11 shift. She was an optimistic person and always had a positive outlook on life. She took on any challenge in life and always put her family first before herself. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a great cook, enjoyed gardening and reading. She was a devout catholic and was also a huge fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. She was always up to date on politics and enjoyed following them.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Worth, Elizabeth was the devoted mother of Paul Worth and his wife Claudia of Boxford, Ann Flores and her husband Alejandro of Newton, Mary Pullo and her husband Frank of Medford, and Clare Nolan of Newton. She was the loving grandmother of Caitlin, Andrea, Shannon, Alexandra, Annie, Allison, Alex and Michael, the great grandmother of Teddy, Jack, Hallie, Elizabeth and Henry. She was one of 10 siblings.

Elizabeth’s services were held privately.
