William A. “Bill” Owens, age 47 of Franklin, Ma., went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2020. Bill was born in Boston on August 3, 1973, raised in South Boston and Andover, Ma. He attended school in Andover, graduated from Andover High School’s Class of 1992 where he played and captained the varsity ice hockey team. He then went onto and graduated in 1997 from Framingham State College with a B A in Business all the while playing on the NCAA FSC Rams, Men’s ice hockey team. He was employed at State Street - Global Advisors and Vice-President – Advising at ING. He was the Co-founder of Crescent Hill Partners LLC where he was an Investment Advisor and the Director of Operations.
In 1996 he met the love of his life, Pamela Lower. They married on September 26, 1998 in Westfield, MA. They lived in Framingham, and then Jacksonville Beach, Florida before settling in Franklin, MA. where they raised Emma Joyce, age 17, Matthew William, age 15, and Keira Faith, age 13. Being with Pam and his children brought Bill more joy than he believed possible. He loved his family from deep in his soul.
He also loved vacations with Pam and the kids or with friends and family ranging from Savannah, GA, Key West, Fl, the Outer Banks, NH, Cape Cod, Disney World, Hawaii, Turks and Caicos, Cancun, Bahamas and most recently to Aruba. The memories from times as a family are forever embedded in our minds to make sure Bill’s memory lives on. After every week away he would look at Pam and say, “boy am I glad we did that.” Vacation was his treasured family time. He also loved to simply sit with Pam and his children while watching the Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots. He was an avid sports fan, loved playing golf and coaching Franklin Youth Hockey. Bill was an outstanding and loyal son, brother, husband, father, brother in law, friend and a great storyteller. He knew how to make you laugh uncontrollably and was a great listener at the same time, he could turn anything into a joke. Watching Emma and Keira at gymnastics meets or going to and coaching Matt's hockey games were some of his most cherished moments. After each game or meet no matter the outcome, Bill could be seen with his arm around each child simply kissing his children on the forehead and always said first “I’m proud of you” before anything else left his lips. To say he was proud of his kids was an understatement.
Bill felt his job on earth was to be a girl dad x2 and a boy dad . He learned the art of a ponytail and to teach the soft side of a young boy who always gave his grandmother flowers when he saw her. He beamed with pride at every glance of his children. He didn’t have to say anything, the glimmer in his eye when he looked at them did all the talking.
He had a beautiful smile, a kind soul with no mean streak anywhere to be found and he had the most unbelievable blue eyes Pam had ever seen.
His quick wit and truly magnetic personality made him loved by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him . He loved living life to the fullest. He loved to dance and be silly, a true kid at heart and was the definition of a hands-on fun dad playing with the kids. He was the most amazing doting husband even after 22 years of marriage, Pam was spoiled by his undying affection . He was her ROCK. Her foundation. He was everything to his family.
Bill will be sadly missed by his eternal true love, wife Pamela, adoring children; Emma, Matthew, Keira, his parents Ed and Patricia Owens of Andover, MA., sister Barbara Owens – Dewitt her husband Jeffrey Smith of Gorham, ME, brother Edward, his wife Heather Owens of Gorham, Maine his brother-in-law Pete Dewitt of Gorham, Me and his wife Cathie , his father in-law Donald Lower, the late Brenda Lower, sister in-law Terri her husband Dan Gustafson, his brother in-law Kevin Lower and his wife Laurel.
