TEWKSBURY: Janet (Ring) Joyce, age 79, a resident of Tewksbury for 52 years, passed away at her daughter’s home in the care of children and hospice on Sunday, October 25, 2020.
She was the beloved wife of Thomas A. Joyce, Jr. who passed away on April 23, 2001.
Born in Boston on January 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Geraldine (Barrett) (Ring) Manning and her husband John.
Janet was raised in South Boston and graduated from South Boston High School.
Following her wedding, she dedicated her life to her late husband and to raising their three daughters.
Janet’s pride and joy were her four much loved grandchildren.
She enjoyed vacationing with her late husband and loved ones on Cape Cod and the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Janet was an avid television gameshow fan. In addition, she enjoyed bowling, ceramics, loved to play cards, and thoroughly enjoyed music from the 50”s, 60”s and 70”s, Big Band, Rock & Roll, Country along with Irish music.

She is survived by her three daughters, Lisa A. Feeley and her husband Paul of Lowell, Kathy M. Evans and Robert Gauthier of Tewksbury, and Christine E. Couillard and her husband David of Lowell; four grandchildren, Amanda (Feeley) Mendonca and her husband Andrew, Paul T. Feeley, Tara (Evans) Delisle and her husband Perry, and Olivia Pappas; two great grandchildren, Jack Mendonca and Thomas Delisle.
Janet was the sister of Leona Joyce and her husband Patrick, Betty Ann Packard, Dorothy Clark and her late husband John, and the late Geraldine Conley and her late husband John, the late David Ring and Edward Ring. Janet was sister-in-law to Josie Ring, Louise Ring, and Linda Joyce. She is also survived by her lifelong friends, Guy and Peggy Pucillo, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to her graveside service on Wednesday, October 28, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury. Masks/face covering and social distancing is required for those attending. Please Omit Flowers.
