New Bedford – Antonio S. Nazare, age 80, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Maria Ester (Oliveira) Nazare.
Born in Pico, Azores he was the son of the late Antonio Francisco and Maria de Simas (Terra) Nazare. He had worked as an assembler for Columbia Electronics for many years. Antonio had been very crafty and talented with his hands. He loved and cherished spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; his son, Antonio M. Nazare and his companion, Fernanda Dutra; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany Nazare and Jessica Nazare; a great-grandchild, Kaleb Nazare; 1 nephew and 5 nieces. He was also the brother of the late Maria da Boa Nova Nazare, Idalina Goulart and Francisca Nazare.
Antonio’s visiting hours will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will be Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
