Steep Falls-Ralph Johnson Jr., 85, passed away at his home on October 20, 2020.
He was born on March 9, 1935 to Ralph and Myrtle (Record) Johnson
of Baldwin. Ralph was educated in Baldwin schools. As a young man Ralph started in the logging industry working beside his father. This began a long career in the logging industry, either logging or working in lumber mills. On January 10, 1958 he married Frances Mulhern and gained two daughters, Bernadette and Elaine. They had one son Bradford. They were married for 43 years until her passing in 2001. On April 21, 2006 Ralph married Ruth Berry, who was with him through his final days. Ralph gained two stepdaughters, Denise and Laura and a stepson Kenneth.
Ralph loved his animals. Over the years he had numerous horses, dogs, goats and other animals. He thoroughly enjoyed raising them and having them around. He loved to watch horse racing, baseball and his favorite was Westerns. Any time that you came to visit, you could count on a Western being on the television. He always looked forward to visits from his grand-daughters Angela and Desirea with whom that special bond will never be broken, and any of the family and friends that came by. He is survived by his sister Florence Benvie and husband James of Parsonsfield, son Bradford Johnson and wife Stephanie of Lewiston and their children, Angela, Desirea, Trevor and Allie, daughter Bernadette Richards and husband Steve of Hiram and their children, Kristy, Shane, and Shawn, and other daughter Elaine Mason and husband Kevin of Cornish and their children, Larry, Robin, Scott, Jennifer, Kevin and Amanda, stepdaughter Denise Metayer and husband Guy of Lyman and their children, Alex, Daniel, and Nathan and a multitude of nieces and nephews that he thought the world of.
