Rudene S. Moncus, 80, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at the Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. B.J. Funk and Rev. Steve Waldorf officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moncus was born July 10, 1925, in Roanoke, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Gussie B. Smith. Mrs. Moncus lived in the community since 1970 from LaGrange. She was a member of Stonewall Church Of God in LaGrange and attended Westside Baptist Church in Fitzgerald. Mrs. Moncus was a former employee of Calloway Mills in LaGrange
Mrs. Moncus is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Tony & Lori Moncus of Fitzgerald; daughter and son-in-law: Wanda & Don Patrick of Hampton; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vent Moncus.
