Muriel Louise Moreira (68) of Brockton died October 16th at home under hospice care. She was the wife of Felix Riveira Rodriguez.
She was born in Brockton, daughter of the late George W. Damon and Muriel L. (Turner) McGowan. Muriel was a clerical worker for various companies including Massasoit Community College, Brockton Housing Authority and Alden Products Company. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, crocheting, puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.
Muriel is survived by 4 sons, Edwin Damon and wife Carmella of Florida, Felix Damon and wife Suize of Pennsylvania, Andres Damon of Bridgewater and Juanito Damon of New Bedford, her daughter Felicia Damon Pandele and husband Paul Harraden of Brockton, 4 brothers, Wayne McGown and wife Debora and daughter Ana of Maine, Richard Davis and wife Laurie of Marshfield, Thomas Damon and wife Rosella of Florida and Bruce McGown of Brockton, 2 sisters, Pamella Johnson and husband Steven of Georgia and Linda McGown and husband Bryon Atwood of Florida, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and cousins.
Following Cremation, a Memorial Service will take place in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Tuesday October 27th from 4-7 pm. A Memorial Mass will take place in the Immanuel Baptist Church, 92 Alger Street Brockton Wednesday October 28th at 11 am.
Due to the COVID-19 Massachusetts Phase 3 Guidelines the Funeral Home will be open to 40 percent occupancy, face masks are required and please practice social distancing. We are all in this together.
