Alex Mordan of Hyde Park passed away on October 14, 2020. Beloved husband of Marie Edith (Pascal) Mordan. Loving son of the late Julio Enrique Cespedes and Vernelie (Antoine) Mordan.
Devoted father of Dimitri St. Ford, Alex Mordan Jr, Alain Felix Mordan and Beatrice Anaskasi.
Step-father of Linda and Vitto
Brother of Alta , Arnold, Anthony, Armide, Abel, Anny, Arol, Yolette, Adolphetto, Addy, Abner, Janet, Mary Yolandre, Adeline, the late Marcus, Harry, Alourdes, Henry, Jacques, Yvon, Armondo and Altagrace. Dear grandfather of Naelle and Stephanie ST. Ford
Victoria Grace, Christina Faith and Gabriel Alexander Mordan,
Kaori Alisa Mordan.Rose , Yan and Liam Pascal. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Alex grew up in Haiti and from the neighborhood of 2eme cite St Martin, Delmas 5. He was loved and well respected as the big brother throughout his extended family. Alex was a dutiful son to his mother, a role model brother, an uncle to many, grandfather and a friend to all in Boston. He was fanatic about his local sports teams and had a special place in his heart for the Celtics.
Education: Lycée Petion, Port-au-Prince, Haiti graduated 1963
Alex immigrated from Haiti to New York at the age of 23 in 1967
Alex retired in 2014 after working as a mental health counselor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His last assignment was at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital Correctional Unit where he was well known by coworkers and clients.
He leaves behind many, will always be missed but never forgotten!
Family and friends will Celebrate Alex's life by gathering for Visiting hours in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway on Thursday, October 22nd from 9 to 11 am, and all are welcome to attend. (Covid 19 guidelines will be enforced)
followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Angela's Church, 1548 Blue Hill Ave., Mattapan at 11:30am. (Masks required, maximum church capacity 80 people due to Covid-19 regulations).
Burial will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Roslindale.

All visitors must wear a MASK in the funeral home and on the funeral home property.
All visitors will then follow SAFE DISTANCING
All visitors may pause at Casket/Urn and then EXIT the Funeral Home.
All visitors when returning to their cars will please exit the property to allow others to enter.
All visitors will be able to greet family members from a safe distance but not able to touch.
