Dartmouth - Rosemary Mis, 59, of Dartmouth, passed away on October 14, 2020 at home, after an illness.
A resident of New Bedford most of her life, Rosemary attended New Bedford High and later BCC. She worked at St. Luke’s hospital for many years, as well as at the Washington Club of which she was also a member and where she had many friends.
She treasured her family and was very involved in the lives of her two daughters and grandchildren. Until her health no longer permitted, she loved to cook big meals and have a table full of family to share them. She was always selfless and thoughtful, always thinking of ways to gather the family together, and picking up treasures that reminded her of those she loved or baking treats for the children.
She is predeceased by her sister Gloria Gonsalves and her father Tobias DaCosta, and is survived by her fiancée Robert Araujo, mother Mariana Gonsalves, two daughters Marianne (Johnathan) Rousseau, Amanda (Jonathon) Cintron, grandchildren Lucas, Jason, Jordyn, and Ezra, sisters Susana Claro, Cecilia Marshall, and Debra Gonsalves, and many nieces and nephews. She loved them all and was always thinking of them.
