Parsonsfield - Garrett Scott Johnson, 29, of Parsonsfield died on October 10, 2020 in Hollis from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Portland on May 5, 1991 the son of Scott and Darlene (Brown) Johnson. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Sacopee Valley High School in South Hiram.
Garrett had worked for several local logging companies and also at Poland Spring Bottling Plant in Hollis. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. His true passion was racing, from driving go karts at the old Box Shop Speedway to driving stock cars as an adult. Spending time with his family and close friends was most important to him, especially with his loving nieces and nephews. He enjoyed sharing life with those close to him and everyone who knew him was touched and blessed by his unique personality. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Scott and Darlene Johnson of Parsonsfield. 2 sisters, Holly Gilpatrick and her significant other Shaun Doiron of Steep Falls, and Dawn Stone and her significant other Richard Cox of Parsonsfield. 3 nieces and a nephew: Brooke Stone, Paisley Stone, Halle Cox and Jase Cox. His beloved dog "Kayleigh (Crumb)". Also several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family is hosting a celebration of Garrett's life on Saturday, October 24, at the home of Chris and Alex Lepage, 9 Wescott St., Limerick. The first 2 hours will be a visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. Immediately following at 3 p.m. will be a ceremony for family and friends to speak and share memories. Please adhere to State guidelines for social distancing and wearing of masks.
