Lynne F. Lydon passed away suddenly after a brief illness at the Massachusetts General Hospital on October 12, at the age of 52.
Lynne was born in Rockland on January 9, 1968 and at a young age moved to Whitman where she graduated from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1986.
She worked at Boston Financial Services in Quincy followed by a career working with the elderly as a nurse’s aide and providing homemaking services. While raising her family she worked at Stop & Shop in Whitman working at the Deli where she remained for several years.
Lynne had a large circle of family and friends that she loved and enjoyed at many events and social gatherings. Lynne loved music and especially animals of all kinds, particularly her devoted cat Lexi. Lynne will be remembered for her great sense of humor and love of life.
Lynne is the daughter of the late Richie A. Johnson, and is survived by her beloved sons Patrick and Mark and her husband Patrick Lydon, her mother Karen Marshall and Carl Bruno of Whitman, her two brothers Brian Johnson of Abington, Christopher Johnson and his wife Anne of Whitman and her sister Susan and her husband Robert Del Signore of Londonderry, N.H. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, there are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Rockland. A private celebration of Lynne's life will be held immediately following the service.
