Maria Teresa Cabral (82) of Brockton died October 12th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the loving wife of Hipolito Cabral.
She was born Lem, Brava, Cabo Verde, daughter of the late Antonio Fortes and Maria Jose Monteiro. Maria was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and loved gardening, cooking, shopping and socializing with family and friends.
In addition to her husband she is survived by 5 sons, Manuel Lopes-Monteiro of Brockton, Victor Monteiro of New Bedford, Euclides Cabral of Cabo Verde, Julio Cabral of New Bedford and Jeremias Cabral of Brockton, 3 daughters, Isabel Monteiro-Robalo of Brockton, Maria Joana Monteiro-Cabral of Cabo Verde and Maria Eduarda Ortiz of Brockton, her brother Joao Fortes of Rhode Island, her sister Maria De Lurdes Pires of New Bedford, many grand and great grandchildren.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Tuesday October 20th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Visitation in the Funeral Home Monday October 19th from 6-9 pm.
