Theodore J. Bernstein, 86, of Peabody, formerly of Chelsea and Winthrop beloved husband of Judy Bernstein, died October 12th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers. Born in Chelsea he was the son of the late Morris and Anne (Kaplan) Bernstein. He was raised and educated in Winthrop a graduate of Winthrop High School and a long-term resident of Winthrop where he lived for many years prior to moving to Peabody. Theodore was the owner and operator of Bernstein Electric Inc. in Chelsea.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Theodore is also survived by his children Michael Bernstein and his wife Christine of Winthrop, Linda Bernstein of Saugus, his brother Atty. George Bernstein of Winthrop and his three grandchildren, Cassidy Collignon, Evan Bernstein, and Chad Bernstein. He was predeceased by his brother Sheldon Bernstein. Private graveside services were held in Winthrop Cemetery, Winthrop. Contributions in his memory may be made to St Jude Hospital for Children. www.stjude.org/donate
