Harvey L. Stewart, Jr., 69, of Fairhaven died Saturday, October 10, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief, hard-fought, battle with cancer.
Born in Shirley, son of the late Harvey L. and Martha Beatrice (Connors) Stewart, he lived in Fairhaven for most of his life.
Harvey honorably served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Vietnam War.
He was currently employed as a drug and alcohol counselor at High Point Treatment Center, where he had worked for many years. He was formerly employed as a New Bedford Police Officer.
Harvey loved working on his Jeep and spending time with his beloved dog and two cats.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Guilbreth; two step-sons, Joey Maze and Kirk Chapman; his brother, James M. Stewart and his wife Susan; his sister, Ann M. Chevalier; three grandchildren; and a niece and seven nephews.
