Edward A. Magner, of Malden, formerly of Medford, October 6th. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Norton) Magner. Father of Ann Magner and her husband Mark Grohman of South Portland, Maine, Ted Magner and his wife Betsy Leritz of Melrose, Maureen Snape and her husband Robert of Hingham and Stephen Magner of North Carolina. Grandfather of Hailey, Rachael, Erik, Paige, Andrew, Lily, Aaron, Gideon and Julia. Brother of John Magner Jr. of Gloucester, Terence Magner of Salem, NH, Laurence Magner of Norfolk, Jean Linehan of Stoneham and the late Robert Magner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Edward was raised in Medford, is a graduate of Immaculate Conception Grammar School, Malden Catholic High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern University. He worked as a Technician for New England Telephone Company, retiring after more than 25 years of service. He was a member of the Irish American Association in Malden; the Kevin Barry Pipe and Drums Band and the Retired Men’s Hockey League. Edward was also a member of the Forest Dale Community Church where he had previously served on the Board of Trustees. Services are private.
