Nancy E. Moberg Bezanson- loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on Sunday, September 27th, 2020 at the age of 80.
Nancy was born June 4th, 1940 to Phyllis and Arvid Moberg. She was the older sister of Carl Moberg and the late Roger Moberg.
She attended and graduated Hanover High and after graduating, she attended beauty school with her best friend, Laura. Nancy worked as a hairdresser and then as an insurance agent until she retired in 1980.
She was the wife of the late William Bezanson, who she married in 1961 and spent more than 40 wonderful years with before his passing in 2003. After retiring the two spent their time traveling across the country in their RV with their friends Audrey and Jack. When it was time to settle down again Nancy became a full-time nanny to two young boys.
She leaves behind two beloved children, Noreen and William, as well as two grandchildren, Elise and Bryan. Nancy was newly made a great grandmother this year, just 10 days after her own birthday, to great grandsons James and Mitchell. She also leaves behind her younger brother Carl, his wife Kathy, and their children Melissa and Eric as well as her late brother Roger’s family Karen, Kristina, and Daniel.
Nancy had a passion for the color purple as well as knitting, baking, and making preserves. She greatly enjoyed donating her handmade goods to the South Meadow Village Holly Fair as well as to her church's holiday fair and her daughters’ church bazaar. When not crafting or baking you would likely find her reading a good book with a cup of coffee and a piece of chocolate.
Family and friends are invited to a visiting hour on Friday, October 9th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Blanchard Funeral Home, Plymouth Street (RT 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, Due to current restrictions on capacity Nancy’s memorial service will be private.
