Carl L. Maiocco, age 90, of Winchester, passed away on October 4, 2020. Born in Somerville, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Dolage) Maiocco. He attended the Vesper George School of Art in Boston, and was employed as a graphic artist and illustrator for many years. A U.S. Navy Veteran, Mr. Maiocco served in Korea and was a member of the American Legion. In his spare time, Carl enjoyed membership in the Rockport Art Association.
Mr. Maiocco was the brother of Gilda Pedi and her late husband Mario, the late Albert “Nick” Maiocco and his wife Janet, all of Winchester. He was the devoted uncle of Lewis Pedi, Joan Cronin and her husband Dusty, and the late Barbara Tomasone. He was the great uncle of Nicole Cronin and her husband Mickey Wiswall, Chris Cronin and his wife Erin Nolan, and the great-great uncle to Chris and Erin’s son Christopher Junior “CJ”.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester on Thursday, October 8, at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited and asked to go directly to the church, wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
