Sherryl Kay Marchant, 71, of Londonderry, NH, passed away after a year-long battle with Ovarian Cancer on Thursday, October 1, 2020, at the Elliot Hospital. She fought so hard and endured more than we could possibly imagine, in an effort to have more time with her family, whom she loved dearly. She was the strongest and most brave person we have ever known, a true warrior.
Sherryl was born on November 5, 1948 in Woodward, OK, daughter of the late George and Helen (Neville) Hawbaker. Sherryl was wholeheartedly devoted to her family. Raising 6 children, with limited income was a challenge, but she always found a way to make the best out of every situation. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and raising and caring for her children and grandchildren. Her family will always remember her kindness, compassion and unconditional love, as well as her unwavering optimism of life. Sherryl was selfless, always putting others' needs and happiness before her own, even while fighting her battle with cancer. She was and always will be the glue that binds the family together. She was the heart of every family event and celebration. Sherryl was a bright light in this world and a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her six children, David, Michael, Timothy, Lisa, Daniel and Elizabeth; the childrens’ father Richard Marchant; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Hawbaker and Dale Hawbaker, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Darryl Hawbaker in 2010.
