Susan Marie (Stringham) McNamara, 54, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 28, 2020 at the Milford Regional Medical Center after being stricken at work.
She was born in Framingham on April 9, 1966 the daughter of the late William R. Stringham, Jr and Marilyn B. (Young) Stringham.
Sue was a longtime resident of Hopedale with her husband John and their son Killian. She spent her formative years in Natick and was a graduate of Natick High School.
Sue was a cheery, positive person who will be remembered for her big smile. She enjoyed her job at Whole Foods in Bellingham and looked forward to the Red Sox and Boston Bruins games. She was an avid reader, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her recently adopted dog, Ben.
She is survived by her husband John F. McNamara of Hopedale and her sons Killian McNamara of Hopedale and David DeLorie of Beaverton, OR. She was the sister of Linda Stringham and her husband John Serrer of Seymour, CT; Barbara Stringham and her husband Arturo Ramirez of Putnam, CT and William R. “Billy” Stringham, III of Douglas.
She will be missed by her McNamara family, her mother-in-law Anne (Morin) McNamara; brother-in-law Peter and his wife Maureen and Andrew and his wife Nanette; her sisters-in-law, Margaret, Amy and her husband Assaad Talhouk and Elizabeth as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitations will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte. 30), Wayland. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, a face covering and social distancing will be required. Also, visitors will be asked to not congregate inside the funeral home or in the parking area.
A private family interment will be held at Saint Patrick Cemetery in Natick.
