Arabian, Harout of Watertown, passed peacefully to the Lord in his home, on Tuesday, September 29, 2020.
Harout was a loving husband to his surviving wife for 55 years, Mary (Avakian) Arabian. Devoted father of Sira Cormier and her husband David, Hovig Arabian and his wife Nyree and Hourig Soukiasian and her husband Vartan. Loving grandfather of Alexis, Garen, Gregory, Sarene, Sevan, and Meliney. Brother of Alice Poladian and the late Louder Arabian. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Harout was a master chrome-plater who specialized and enjoyed restoring antique and collectible cars. Harout was a well-read, self-educated man who was fluent in multiple language, always kept up with current events and enjoyed having lively discussions with family and friends.
Harout was a very proud Armenian who dedicated his time to the community. He was an active member and a leader of Homenetmen throughout his life. He also enjoyed helping community bingo every week for many years.
Due to the ongoing Covid – 19 pandemic, Private funeral services will be held at St. Stephen’s Armenian Church, 38 Elton Avenue, Watertown. Interment at Ridgelawn Cemetery will be private.
