Rose Marie Angolano, passed peacefully Monday, September 28, 2020. She was the widow of Anthony Pasquazzi and Salvatore Angolano.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Giovanni and Antonetta (Paolantonio) DeCataldo.
“Grandma Rosie” was not your average grandma. She never missed a Red Sox game or an episode of The Walking Dead and loved a good horror movie. She was somewhat of a fashionista and always made sure her shoes, jewelry and purse matched her outfit. Reading was one of her favorite pastimes – second only to her trips to Foxwoods to play the slots. Her signature Italian dishes like stuffed artichokes and home-made cavatelli pasta will be with her family for years to come, but likely never replicated to her standards! Above all else, her family was her pride and joy and she was happiest surrounded by her children, grandchildren and most recently, great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Anthony J. Pasquazzi of East Providence, Carol A. Glidden and her husband, Jeff, of West Warwick, Robert L. Pasquazzi and his wife, Marlene of Narragansett, and Richard A. Pasquazzi and his wife, Robin, of Smithfield, as well as her grandchildren, Shyla, Erin, Leanne, Marc, Lauren, Heather and Robbie, her great-grandchildren, Grace,Liam and Stella, and her siblings, Angelo DeCataldo of East Providence and Frances Norton of Johnston and Sister In-law Catherine DeCataldo of Woonsocket. She is predeceased by her brother, John DeCataldo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:00am in St. Gregory the Great Church, Warwick. Face masks must be worn and social distancing followed. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 98018, Washington DC 20090-8018
