Jesus Manuel Ortiz (75) of Brockton died September 28th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Victoria (Libby) Ortiz.
He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, son of the late Abdon Ortiz and Gavina Cordova Molina. Jesus was a painting contractor by trade. He loved boxing, the Red Sox, music, fishing, cooking and socializing with family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 sons, Jesus, Carlos and Luis Ortiz all of Brockton, 6 daughters, Marguerita Zwicker, Carmelita, Govina, Rose, Victoria and Amanda Ortiz all of Brockton, a brother Ezequiel of Brockton, 3 sisters, Carmen, Silvia and Olga all of Brockton, (brother of the late Ana, Glady, Rosa and Carlos Ortiz Cordova and Luiz Mercado Santiago), 39 grandchildren, Sentia, David O, David W, Marlon, Lashii, Jaylen, Honesty, Armanhi, Diamond, Inasia, Terrell, Jevon, Kailee, Kyarra, Nyliyah, Luis Jr., Lennox, Jalesiah, Josiah, Nyza, Reality, Junior, Sincere, Janet, Jayliana, Isaiah, Jenarosity, Evangeline, Carlia, Carlos Jr, David, Troy, Jefferey, Cynthia, Cassandra Deandre, Harmony, Marlina and Miracle, many great grandchildren.
Funeral Services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Wednesday October 7th at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Visitation in the Funeral Home Tuesday October 6th from 5-8 pm.
