Edward Roland McDowell (66) of Brockton died September 28th unexpectedly at home.
He was born in Boston, son of the late Hubert McDowell and Bertha McDowell. Edward was a retired electrical engineer and a member of the Shekinah Glory Church. He loved gospel music, reading the bible, his Ford F150 truck, a good meal and spending time with his grandchildren.
Edward is survived by a son Anthony R. McDowell and wife Stephanie of Stoughton, 2 brothers, twin brother Earl McDowell of Boston and Walter McDowell of Virginia, 3 sisters, Margo Gore of South Carolina, Renee McDowell-Phillips of California and Lucille McDowell of New Jersey, 2 grandchildren, Alyssa and Elianna and his former wife Ellaina Kennedy.
Funeral Services in the Shekinah Glory Church, 760 West Chestnut Street Brockton October 10th at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Friday October 9th from 6-9 pm. All are welcome to join the family at the repast at 46 Seaver Street, Stoughton.
