FALL RIVER – Mary Garrett, age 95, a lifelong resident of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sep. 24, 2020. Born in Fall River, Mary was the daughter of the late Henrique Silvia and the late Maria dos Anjos (Januario) Silvia. She was also the beloved wife of the late Woodrow Garrett and the mother of the late Henry Garrett.
Prior to retiring, Mary worked as a Zipper Setter in the Clothing Mfg. Industry. But most of all, Mary loved to spend quality time with her family.
Survivors include her beloved Daughter in law and best friend: Jane Cabeceiras; Three Grandchildren: Kimberly Tiburtino (Husband Wedson), Kristin Gifford (Husband Christopher), and Kyle Garrett (Partner Kyle Potvin); Four Great-Grandchildren: Lily Gifford, Jack Gifford, Isabella Tiburtino, and Gillian Tiburtino; and several nieces & nephews. Mary was the sister of the late Januario Silva, Edward Silvia, Olive Saladino, Emily Roska, and Eva Czapiga.
