Dolores Del was born in Boston, MA on June 13, 1955 to the late Isaiah & Margaret Morrison.
Dolores attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Jamaica Plain High in 1973 she attended Boston College for 2 years, she then went to La Newton School of Beauty, upon finishing hair school she worked at Boston City Hall as well as doing hair at home, and was employed at Boston University School of Medicine for 26 years.
Dolores met & married Linwood Murrell, to that union Janaya was born, the marriage did not last long. Dolores and Wayne (high school friends) became a union for over 30 years in which two children Michael & Miaisha (twins) were born.
Dolores was a beautiful mother and wife, and a Diva a strong woman who loved God, worked hard, loved her children, family & friends, overcame diversity, she was a great cook loved fashion made her own clothing being a plus size women, where as many stores didn’t carry her size. She was a fighter who fought to the end. she battled Kidney failure, breast cancer and non-Hodgson’s Lymphoma cancer. Unfortunately, she succumbed her illnesses at home on September 17,2020.
To cherish her memories, she leaves behind (Wayne) her sugar Bear, her children Janaya ( Mihajlo), Miaisha (Alen), and Michael, her grandchildren Zyon & Zarya, her sister Janet, her stepson Khari, a host of nieces, nephews and close friends, and many of her MBTA and Boston university associates.
Funeral Services while respecting social distancing guidelines will be held at the Brady and Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Monday September 28, 2020 from 5pm-7pm.
