Tyrone L. Tatum, age 37, passed away on September 21, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on May 2, 1983 in Upper Heyford, England. Tyrone attended Chicopee High School, Class of 2002. He worked as a machine operator for the Packaging Corporation of America. Tyrone had a passion for art and drawing, fishing, and he excelled in football at Chicopee High, breaking records during his high school career. He is survived by his mother Elaine (Murchison) Tatum of Springfield; his father Brian Tatum of Tampa, FL; one brother Brian Tatum II of Indianapolis IN; his loving girlfriend and best friend, Amy Carter, and their beloved dog, King, of Springfield. In addition he leaves a special aunt, Yvonne Barnett and his cousin Anthony Murchison of Springfield; two nephews Deron and DeMarcus of Charlotte, NC; along with many other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly, namely his “brother” Ray Leutsch and the Westley family. He is predeceased by his grandmother Mary C. Murchison and his grandfather Joe Murchison, and most recently by his adored dog, Tyson. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A private burial will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield.
