Kathleen Yauney, 72, former Anderson resident, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the home of her son.
She was born on July 14, 1948 in Anderson, the daughter of Harold and Bessie (Shank) Jackson. Kathy worked in Mental Health Care for over 30 years. Most of her years were spent with O’Connor House, Contact Help of Madison County and The Center for Mental Health. She enjoyed reading and was the published author of “As We Forgive: A Story of Healing.”
She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Yauney; two sons; Andy (Lindsey) Porter and grandchildren Kyle and Katie of Fishers and Mike (Rodney) Porter and grandchildren Justin, Tyler and Nathan all of Washington; brother, Dick (Leah) Jackson of Anderson; sister, Bonnie (John) Moser of Kentucky; sister, Mary Konkle of Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law Mike Konkle.
Graveside services will be 2 pm on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
In Kathy’s memory, contributions may be given to O’Connor House, 45 N. Village Drive, Carmel 46032.
