GILFORD-----Elizabeth Trainor, 72, of Laconia, NH, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020, in Concord, NH.
Elizabeth was born on October 6, 1947, in Boston, MA, the daughter of Cyril and Lillian (Mullaly) Laracy.
Elizabeth grew up in Revere, MA. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends in NH, and at her second home in Homosassa, FL.
Always a gracious hostess, she often hosted family barbecues and was known to welcome all to her home during Motorcycle Week. She was beloved by all who met her. Known by her friends as Betty, she had a selfless heart, and always provided for others before herself even until the very end. She worked with her church in Florida, delivering meals to the elderly as well as other community events. Her most common phrase was, "Can I get you something?" She always was looking after everyone else.
One of her last statements was, "I feel surrounded by Guardian Angels". She is now a Guardian Angel to all of us.
She is survived by her two sons, Mike and wife Lisa Trainor of Gilford, NH, and Rob Trainor and his partner Kayla Mecum of the Virgin Islands, two brothers, Bill and his wife Maryann of Beverly, MA, and John and his partner Larry Govoni of Boston, MA, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and many cousins and great friends. She was the beloved Nana to her "granddog" Vinny, with whom she loved to cuddle in her special chair. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband James E. Trainor III.
Adhering to the guidelines of the State of New Hampshire and the CDC, social distancing is strongly encouraged, and face coverings will be required. Only 140 guests will be permitted in the church at one time.
A Calling Hour will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020, from 9:30 am-10:30 am, at the St.
Andre Bessette Parish- Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Calling Hour at 10:30 am.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020, at 11:30 am, at Bayside Cemetery, in Laconia, NH.
