Julia (Yayá) Tavares Andrade (79) of Brockton died in the Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton.
She was born in Praia, Santiago, Cabo Verde. Julia was the daughter of the late Joaquin Andrade and Adelaida (Moreno) Andrade. She was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and loved praying the rosary, was friendly and helpful to all.
Julia is survived by 2 sons, Angelo Vaz of Cabo Verde and Carlos Andrade of France, 2 daughters, Olga Tavares Andrade Crowder of Brockton and Ester Bedford of Amherst, 3 brothers, Antonio, Manito and Lindo Andrade, 4 sisters, Menininha, Biazinha, Ana and Jova Andrade, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday October 3rd at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Visitation in the Funeral Home Friday October 2nd from 5-8 pm.
